ALEX PANAYOTOV, our roving researcher for the More Old Testament Pseudepigrapha Project, e-mails from Greece to report that he's paid a visit to Mount Athos. He had some interesting and useful adventures there, including a viewing of the Testament of Solomon manuscript at the Dionisiou Monastery. He writes:
The Holy Mountain is an amazing place. The nature is almost untouched by human hands, there are few roads and people usually move from one monastery to another by foot. Apart from the monks there are quite a lot of cats (the she-cat is the only female animal allowed to live on the peninsula).
